Shanghai Composite Falls 1.7% Below 4,000 Points on June 8, Over 4,600 Stocks Decline

According to PANews, Shanghai Composite Index fell 1.7% on June 8, breaking below the 4,000-point level. The Shenzhen Component Index declined 3.22%, while the ChiNext Index dropped 3.69%. Combined trading volume across Shanghai and Shenzhen exchanges reached 2.79 trillion yuan. Over 4,600 stocks declined across the market, with CPO, semiconductors, and precious metals sectors among the major decliners.
