SEC Reaches Settlement with Coinbase, Agrees to Pay $150,000 Over Records Requests on Wednesday

According to The Block, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission reached a settlement with Coinbase on Wednesday, July 23, ending a legal dispute over the agency's handling of Freedom of Information Act requests. As part of the settlement, the SEC agreed to pay $150,000 to History Associates for attorney fees and to release two previously withheld documents, as well as conduct a review of its records retention practices for text messages, according to the court filing.
