Rivian Cuts Less Than 2% of Workforce on June 16 to Support Profitable Growth

According to Reuters, Rivian announced on June 16 that it was cutting less than 2% of its workforce as part of a restructure to support profitable growth. The US electric-vehicle maker said the layoffs primarily affected service and customer-facing roles including sales and marketing. With 15,232 employees at the end of December, the move represents fewer than 305 positions. The restructure follows a larger October layoff that removed more than 4.5% of Rivian's workforce.
