Ripple Introduces XRPL Lending Protocol for Institutional Digital Asset Financing

XRP-1.16%
According to Ripple, the company has introduced the XRPL Lending Protocol, a new framework designed to bring institutional-grade lending and credit infrastructure to the XRP Ledger. The protocol separates credit assessment off-chain while automating loan enforcement, repayment schedules, and default conditions on-chain, allowing institutions to borrow against tokenized assets without relying on fragmented DeFi applications. The XRPL Lending Protocol is currently defined under XLS-65 and XLS-66 and remains subject to validator approval before deployment on the XRP Ledger mainnet.
