Renowned Short-Seller Chanos Questions SpaceX's $2 Trillion Valuation Ahead of IPO

Renowned short-seller James Chanos stated at the iConnections Global Alts conference in New York that SpaceX's highly anticipated IPO is driven more by enthusiasm for CEO Elon Musk and artificial intelligence rather than solid financial fundamentals. Chanos said the company's valuation is difficult to justify on any reasonable business assumptions.

According to Chanos, the $75 billion IPO would value SpaceX at roughly $2 trillion against revenues of $19 billion and negative free cash flow. He described it as an IPO sustained by "hope and dreams."
