Rare Earth Supply Years Drop to 218 From 500 in Five Years, USGS Data Shows

According to data from the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), and Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) released on June 25, rare earth elements' expected supply years have plummeted to 218 in 2025 from 500 in 2020, meaning remaining reserves can sustain current production for about 218 years. Lithium and uranium supply years fell to 128 and 90 years respectively. Oil reserves stand at 58 years, natural gas at 51 years, copper at 43 years, silver at 23 years, and gold at 20 years.
