Rackspace and AMD Sign 30-Megawatt AI Infrastructure Deal

According to Bloomberg, on June 16, Rackspace Technology and Advanced Micro Devices signed a definitive agreement to deploy 30 megawatts of AMD-based compute capacity across global data centers from late 2026 through 2028. The deployment covers AMD Instinct MI355X and MI350P graphics processing units alongside EPYC central processing units for regulated enterprise workloads. Following the announcement, Rackspace's $1.6 billion first-lien term loan rose about 5 cents on the dollar to between 93.5 and 95.5 cents, while Rackspace shares gained nearly 10% and AMD shares fell about 4%.
