Putin Presents Russia's Low-Orbit Satellite System as Rival to Starlink on June 12

According to CCTV International, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on June 12 that Russia is developing a satellite-based combat drone control system. Putin highlighted the "1440" aerospace enterprise, which is developing a low-earth-orbit satellite system for global broadband data transmission. Putin stated that Russia's near-orbit satellite system is comparable to the U.S. Starlink and may be superior in certain aspects.
