Polymarket Allegedly Uses Fake Trading Videos and Influencer Adin Ross to Market to US Users, WSJ Reports

According to Wall Street Journal, Polymarket was allegedly marketing its prediction market platform through paid creators who published simulated trading videos and false profit claims on social media. The creators used fake websites mimicking Polymarket's real interface to film trading content, with some videos showcasing profits that never actually occurred. Some of these videos were reportedly submitted to Polymarket for review.

Polymarket managed the influencer marketing campaigns through agency Virality and maintained a multi-million-dollar promotional partnership with streamer Adin Ross to drive user engagement, the report said. The marketing activities reportedly reached US users despite Polymarket's restricted services in the United States.
