Oracle Shed 21,000 Jobs Over Past Year, 13% of Workforce Cut Amid AI Push

According to CNBC, Oracle shed 21,000 jobs over the past year, representing nearly 13% of its workforce, according to the company's annual regulatory filing on Monday. The tech giant's total workforce declined to 141,000 full-time employees as of May 2026, down from 162,000 a year earlier. Oracle attributed the workforce reductions to "the adoption and deployment of AI technologies across our operations," incurring $1.8 billion in restructuring costs, up from $374 million the previous year.
