Nvidia Supplies 13,750 Vera CPUs and 27,500 Rubin GPUs to Japan's Noetra Consortium

According to Barron's, Nvidia announced on July 16 that it will provide AI chips and computing infrastructure to Noetra, an industry consortium led by SoftBank, Sony, and Honda. The initial deployment includes 13,750 Vera CPUs and 27,500 Rubin GPUs, delivering 140MW of data center computing capacity. The transaction amount was not disclosed.

Sovereign AI—government-backed programs developing independent AI technology—has become a key growth driver for Nvidia. The company's fiscal 2026 revenue from Sovereign AI exceeded $30 billion, representing more than threefold year-over-year growth.
