Nvidia Partners with Australian AI Infrastructure Firm Firmus, to Deploy 170,000 GPUs in Indonesia by Q1 2027

Nvidia signed a strategic partnership agreement with Australian AI infrastructure company Firmus Technologies on Sunday, June 28. Under the deal, Firmus will procure Nvidia infrastructure and offer cloud services based on Nvidia technology to customers, while Nvidia will receive product revenue and a share of cloud service revenues.

The companies plan to deliver up to 170,000 GPUs to a data center in Batam, Indonesia, between Q1 2027 and early 2028. Firmus estimates that over the first six years following the agreement, revenues could reach $30 billion based on customer commitments. Nvidia has previously invested in Firmus across multiple funding rounds; in April 2026, Firmus completed a $1.35 billion funding round at a $5.5 billion valuation.
