Nvidia and SpaceX Each Issue $25B in Investment-Grade Bonds, Pushing U.S. June Debt Issuance to Record High

According to Bloomberg, Nvidia and SpaceX each issued $25 billion in investment-grade corporate bonds on June 25, combining for a $50 billion offering that helped push U.S. investment-grade debt issuance to a record monthly high. As of June 25, total investment-grade corporate bond issuance for the month has already exceeded any prior single month on record, with market estimates suggesting June issuance may exceed $200 billion total. Bloomberg analyst Noel Hebert noted that with companies still queued to issue debt before month-end, June investment-grade issuance could surpass $200 billion, significantly higher than Wall Street dealers previously projected.
