NEJM Investigates Amgen's Tavneos for Data Fraud as FDA Proposes Market Withdrawal

The New England Journal of Medicine is investigating allegations of scientific misconduct related to research used to approve Amgen's Tavneos, a journal spokesperson said. The publication, which ran the study in 2021, expects to reach a resolution soon. Meanwhile, the U.S. FDA has proposed withdrawing Tavneos from the market, citing approval based on manipulated data. European health regulators are also reviewing the drug amid the same concerns.
