Multiple Chinese Banks to Suspend Personal Gold Trading Services in July

According to China Securities Journal, multiple Chinese banks including Bank of Communications, China Merchants Bank, and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China announced in June they will halt personal precious metals trading services via Shanghai Gold Exchange starting in July. The suspension is intended to mitigate risks associated with extreme price volatility and prevent potential client defaults.
