MSCI Emerging Markets Index Surges 2.2% on Friday, Kospi Jumps 5.8% Led by Samsung, SK Hynix

Friday, the MSCI Emerging Markets Index surged 2.2%, marking its largest single-day gain since June 15. South Korea's Kospi index jumped 5.8%, with strong performance from chip makers Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix offsetting losses from a decline in Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company shares. The gains partially recovered losses from the previous two trading days.
