KOSPI Surges to 5.5% After Early Decline; Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix Up Over 9%

South Korea's KOSPI index surged to 5.5% gains today after declining over 3% in early trading. Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, both major components of the index, rose over 9% each.
