MoneyGram Becomes Solana Validator, Joins Developer Platform on June 22

According to CoinDesk, MoneyGram became a validator on the Solana blockchain and joined the Solana Developer Platform on June 22 as it expands its stablecoin payment services. The platform enables enterprises and financial institutions to build and scale compliant financial products on the network. MoneyGram joined as an infrastructure partner alongside Mastercard and Western Union.

The move followed MoneyGram's June 2 launch of the MGUSD stablecoin on Stellar through Stripe-owned Bridge and reflects its strategy of building on multiple open blockchain networks rather than relying on a single chain.
