According to Bernstein analyst Gautam Chhugani on July 7, MicroStrategy's aggressive bitcoin purchases are offsetting market weakness and maintaining balance this year. Bernstein noted that corporate bitcoin buying totaled approximately $10 billion year-to-date, compared to $60 billion last year, while spot bitcoin ETFs experienced $5.5 billion in net outflows. However, MicroStrategy's sustained net purchases have counterbalanced the ETF outflows, with the firm currently holding over 843,700 BTC—approximately 4% of total circulating supply. Bernstein added that the current downturn is notably milder than previous bear markets. Bitcoin traded at $63,141, down 1.41% from the prior session.
