Metamask Expands Mastercard Debit Card to 13 Latam Countries With 1% Cashback

According to Metamask's official announcement, the crypto wallet company has expanded its Mastercard debit card services to 13 new countries in Latin America, including Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Guyana, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, and Uruguay. The card is now also available in Brazil and Argentina. Users receive 1% cashback in mUSD, Metamask's dollar-pegged stablecoin, on each transaction.

According to Alex Oblakevich, head of research at Utexo, crypto card transactions have grown 2.7 times, with deposits becoming regular rather than large, signaling a shift from early-adopter use to mainstream adoption.
