Meta Platforms' shares rose 8.3% over four trading days through Thursday, on pace for their best weekly finish since mid-April, following the release of the Muse Spark 1.1 AI model for coding tasks. The stock gained 1% in premarket trading on Friday.

Meta's Chief AI Officer Alexandr Wang confirmed on X that further Muse Spark iterations would follow. "Indeed, more to come!" Wang highlighted the model's strong tool use, million-token context window, parallel subagents, and advanced computer-use capabilities. Separately, Meta is planning to begin production of its Iris data center chip in September as part of efforts to boost overall computing power to 14 gigawatts next year.
