On June 16, 2026, KRWQ became the first Korean won-backed stablecoin to adopt Chainlink Proof of Reserve for automated reserve verification, according to official announcements from Chainlink Labs and KRWQ. The integration uses a dedicated KRWQ Chainlink Data Stream to provide tamper-proof, real-time verification of offchain reserves, replacing manual attestations with continuous on-chain verification. KRWQ, developed by IQ and Frax and built on Solana, is the world's largest Korean won stablecoin. The move is designed to enhance transparency, support regulatory compliance, and accelerate adoption across DeFi and institutional finance markets.
