KOSPI Volatility Hits 60%, Surpassing Bitcoin's 50% on July 20

According to Bloomberg, on July 20, South Korea's KOSPI index volatility reached 60% (Unicode字符数:约58字符), surpassing Bitcoin's 50% volatility. The elevated volatility prompted the Korean exchange to trigger circuit breakers seven times in 2026. Bloomberg attributed the heightened market swings partly to leveraged ETFs, which account for over 70% of daily trading volume and amplify price movements in Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, which together comprise more than 50% of the KOSPI index.
