According to News1, on July 15-16, South Korea's KOSPI index experienced sharp volatility, surging 6.24% on July 15 before declining 6.37% on July 16. However, semiconductor stocks rebounded significantly faster than non-semiconductor peers during this period. Samsung Electronics rose 6.27% and SK Hynix climbed 8.83% on July 15, while automotive and defense-related stocks showed slower recovery rates. Hyundai Motor gained only 2.24%, and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries rose just 1.07% on the same day.
