KOSPI 200 Futures Trigger Sell-Side Circuit Breaker on 5% Decline on July 24

According to Korea Exchange, the KOSPI 200 index futures declined over 5% on July 24 at 11:23 AM, triggering an automatic halt to program sell orders on South Korea's main securities market. The program trading sell-side trading halt (circuit breaker) remained in effect for 5 minutes. The sell-side circuit breaker is activated when the KOSPI 200 futures index falls 5% or more and sustains the decline for at least one minute.
