Korean Retail Investors Purchase Over 1 Trillion Won in U.S. Stocks in One Week Amid KOSPI Volatility

According to Korean Depository Corporation's securities information portal (SEIBro), Korean retail investors purchased over 1 trillion won in U.S. stocks from July 1 to 9. The buying surge follows renewed volatility in the domestic KOSPI index and comes after a lull triggered by the introduction of the domestic market return account (RIA) policy. As domestic equity markets experience extreme price swings, individual investors are redirecting capital to U.S. markets seeking stability.
