Kanga Secures Class 3 MiCA License From Latvia, Bypassing Poland's Legislative Deadlock

According to the Bank of Latvia, Polish-founded crypto exchange Kanga secured a Class 3 MiCA license on June 18 for its Latvian operating entity, SIA AlphaRoute, enabling it to passport crypto custody, trading, and transfer services across all 27 EU member states. The move allows Kanga to bypass Poland's delayed domestic MiCA implementation, with the EU's July 1 transitional deadline approaching. Poland remains without MiCA implementation legislation after President Nawrocki vetoed government-backed crypto bills three times, most recently on June 11, citing provisions he considered burdensome for domestic firms. The Poland 2050 coalition has submitted a revised proposal to reduce regulatory fees and requirements.
