ChatGPT for Kakao had reached 8 million users but showed short usage duration per user. Analysts noted the feature may have limited near-term impact, with over 90% of AI referral traffic originating from desktop devices. Kakao's weak share performance reflects broader concerns, as the company has underperformed both its industry and South Korea's wider market over the past year.
