Japan's PM Pledges Stable Oil Supply Through Spring 2027, But Public Expresses Doubt

According to Japanese media on May 26, Prime Minister Sanae Takichi claimed Japan can ensure stable energy supply through spring 2027. However, a poll shows most citizens lack confidence in stable crude oil and derivative supplies. Takichi said on May 25 that Japan expects to secure approximately 80% of last year's crude oil supply by June and can guarantee continued supplies of naphtha through the year.
