Italy Denies U.S. Military Used Its Bases to Bomb Iran, Foreign Minister Says on June 25

According to Jin10, on June 25, Italy's Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani denied recent claims by NATO's Secretary General that the United States used Italian military bases in operations against Iran. In a phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Tajani stressed that Italian military bases have never been used for any attacks against Iran and will not be in the future. Tajani also stated that U.S. fighter jets did not take off from Italian territory to bomb Iran, and the Italian government has never authorized such military operations.
