Gate News reports that on March 27, a court in Tel Aviv revealed that an Israeli Air Force reserve major is suspected of using confidential information to profit from trading on Polymarket regarding last year’s war between Israel and Iran. The major and his accomplice were charged last month with serious security offenses, as well as bribery and obstruction of justice, and they are suspected of trading on the timing of the first airstrike in the 12-day war launched by Israel in June 2025. Authorities have not disclosed the identity of the suspects or the specifics of the trades. The two earned a total of $162,663 after successfully predicting last June and agreed to split the money. The case was initially protected by a court order from the Tel Aviv District Court, but on Thursday evening, after applications from several Hebrew media outlets, part of the order was lifted, allowing the details of the case to be made public, though the names of the defendants remain undisclosed. Last month, prosecutors filed charges against the two in the Tel Aviv District Court and sought to detain them until the legal proceedings are completed.
