According to Jin10 on July 27, Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Baghaei stated that the U.S. initially believed "Iran would collapse and surrender within three days" following the outbreak of war, but months later the U.S. finds itself in a difficult position while remaining proud of its actions. Baghaei added that whenever global energy prices surge, the U.S. returns to the negotiating table.
