Iran, U.S. Outline Four-Phase Ceasefire Framework; U.S. House Votes to Halt Conflict

According to Iranian media Fars News, Iran and the United States have outlined a four-phase ceasefire agreement on June 4. The first phase focuses on comprehensive cessation of military operations across all fronts, including Iran, the United States, and resistance axis forces. The second phase centers on implementation measures for four key issues: the Strait of Hormuz and related mechanisms, lifting blockades, removing oil restrictions and sanctions, and unfreezing Iranian assets.

The U.S. House of Representatives, controlled by Republicans, voted to halt U.S. military actions against Iran. President Trump clarified that the ceasefire in the region differs from other contexts, describing it as a reduction in conflict intensity rather than a complete halt. The House resolution is largely symbolic, as it requires Senate approval and Trump retains veto authority.
