Israel and Lebanon Agree to Ceasefire on June 3 Amid U.S.-Led Talks

According to a joint statement on June 3, Israel and Lebanon agreed to implement a ceasefire, contingent on Hezbollah ceasing fire completely and withdrawing armed personnel from southern Lebanon south of the Litani River. The agreement was reached following U.S.-led negotiations.
