According to CNN, on June 13, a senior U.S. official said Iran has committed to permanently renouncing nuclear weapons development. The official stated this represents a "significant concession" from Tehran, though Washington emphasized the need to establish robust verification and inspection mechanisms to ensure compliance. "We are satisfied with their commitment not to develop nuclear weapons, but we must verify this," the official said, adding that any benefits from the agreement would only be granted once Iran demonstrates concrete steps to dismantle its nuclear program.
