Sydney-based Immutable recently removed 29 roles from its game development teams and will outsource most work on its in-house titles as it shifts focus to an AI-driven marketing platform. The company is prioritizing its Audience product, launched in December, to help both traditional and blockchain-based game publishers improve player acquisition and engagement. Gods Unchained will continue as a revenue-generating title, while Guild of Guardians moves to maintenance mode. Despite reporting a $48 million loss in 2024, co-founder James Ferguson said the company remains well-funded from a $200 million raise in 2022 and expects around a decade of operating runway.
