U.S. stocks showed mixed performance overnight. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 537 points, or 1.03%, to 52,747; the S&P 500 rose 16 points, or 0.21%, to 7,428; the Nasdaq Composite fell 55 points, or 0.22%, to 24,876. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index, however, dropped 4.49% to 11,035, as chip stocks including Micron, SK Hynix ADR, and SanDisk declined between 8.9% and 14.3%.
