Hong Kong Stocks Open Higher by 190 Points on July 2; Hang Seng Hits 23,071

Hong Kong stocks opened 190 points or 0.8% higher today (July 2), with the Hang Seng Index climbing to 23,071. The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index gained 54 points or 0.7% to 7,613, while the Hang Seng Tech Index rose 56 points or 1.3% to 4,528.

Tech stocks led gains, with Tencent up 3% to 442.6 HKD, Baidu rising 4.9% to 115 HKD, JD.com up 3.8% to 103 HKD, Alibaba gaining 2.6% to 95.3 HKD, Meituan up 2% to 69.85 HKD, Xiaomi rising 3.5% to 22.4 HKD, and Kuaishou up 3.8% to 43.16 HKD. JD Logistics surged 6% to 12.45 HKD, the best-performing blue chip at open. Chip stocks declined, with SMIC down 5.9% to 84.1 HKD and Huahong Semiconductor falling 7.1% to 199.9 HKD.
