According to SemiAnalysis, H100 cloud GPU spot prices have fallen to $2.42 per hour, down approximately 40% from May peaks. The decline has raised concerns within the ecosystem about weakening compute demand and potential pullback in artificial intelligence investment. However, SemiAnalysis notes this represents spot market pricing rather than long-term contracts; the firm's cloud survey found 1-year H100 contract prices have actually risen to approximately $2.65 per hour from around $1.70 per hour at year-end, indicating a divergence between spot and term pricing.
