Google Restricts Meta's Gemini Access Due to Insufficient Computing Capacity

According to Reuters citing Financial Times, Google has restricted Meta's access to its Gemini AI model due to insufficient computing capacity. Google informed Meta around March 2026 that it could not meet the full computing resources Meta required, causing delays to several of Meta's internal AI projects. Meta has asked employees to use AI tokens more efficiently to conserve resources. Other Google customers were also affected but to a lesser extent, with Meta bearing the brunt due to its significantly larger demand for computing resources.
