Google Loses Legal Challenge to 4.1 Billion-Euro EU Antitrust Fine

According to CNBC, Europe's top court upheld Google's fine of around 4.1 billion euros ($4.67 billion) over alleged anti-competitive practices involving Android.

The European Commission imposed the record penalty in 2018 on grounds that Google abused Android's mobile dominance by securing unfair advantages for its own apps through pre-installation agreements with smartphone makers. Google appealed the ruling through the EU court system.
