Google Integrates Spark Agent into macOS Gemini for Desktop Automation and Remote Control

According to Beating, Google has introduced Spark Agent integration within Gemini's macOS desktop application, enabling local automation capabilities. After authorization, Spark can automate routine desktop tasks such as organizing files, extracting data from local documents, and generating automated reports in Google Workspace.

The rollout also includes upcoming remote execution functionality allowing users to send commands from their mobile devices to control their Mac remotely. Spark has expanded its connectivity by supporting the open MCP protocol and integrating with Keep, Tasks, Canva, and Dropbox. The macOS Spark Agent is initially available in the U.S. as a beta feature for Google AI Ultra subscribers.
