Global Stainless Steel Crude Production Rises 2.5% Year-over-Year in Q1 2026 to 15.8M Tons

According to the World Stainless Steel Association, stainless steel crude steel production reached 15.8 million tons in the first quarter of 2026, up 2.5% year-over-year. Asia led regional growth with production of 13.4 million tons, up 3.3%, while the European Union saw production decline to 1.5 million tons, down 4.6%.
