GlaxoSmithKline reported second-quarter adjusted earnings per share of 50.5 pence, beating analyst expectations of 46.8 pence. Q2 revenue reached 84.1 billion pounds, topping the forecast of 82.5 billion pounds.

The pharmaceutical company maintained its full-year guidance, projecting sales growth of 3% to 5% at fixed exchange rates, adjusted earnings per share growth of 7% to 9%, and adjusted operating profit growth of 7% to 9%. GSK shares declined over 1% in premarket trading.
