GateNews
According to Bloomberg, Ecarx Holdings announced on May 20 a deal to provide thousands of robotaxis to U.S. startup May Mobility in a transaction valued at approximately $750 million. The Nasdaq-listed mobility technology supplier, backed by Geely founder Li Shufu and based in London and Singapore, will design the computing platforms and sensor suites for the vehicles. Ecarx said the partnership could halve May Mobility's total vehicle costs by 2028. The vehicles and sensors will be built outside China to comply with U.S. technology import restrictions.
