Gate releases its May 2026 transparency report, with total spot and derivatives trading volume reaching $39.1 billion

Gate News, May 2026, according to Gate’s Transparency Report. In May, Gate spot trading volume reached $3.94 billion, derivatives trading volume was $35.16 billion, and total trading volume was $39.10 billion. The derivatives market share is close to 10%, and the reserve size ranks fourth globally.

The platform business achieved comprehensive growth. The CFD contract market size further expanded, with 605 trading assets already live. The number of assets ranks first globally among crypto trading platforms, covering multiple categories including global stocks, indices, forex, metals, energy, and commodities. The prediction market completed upgrades such as smart money tracking, wallet monitoring, and AI analytics, and is deeply integrated with Polymarket. The WCTC S8 trading event attracted more than 80,000 users to participate, and weighted trading volume exceeded $5 billion; within that, the CFD segment’s trading volume surpassed $14 billion.

Gate’s ETF product lineup continues to expand. In May, total trading volume neared $2 billion, and has maintained a level close to $2 billion for multiple consecutive months. Options, copy trading, trading bots, Gate AI, and Gate Card, as well as other businesses and products, all saw significant growth. Earn on Remaining Coins (余币宝) recorded total subscriptions of 1.915 billion USDT in May, up 11.5% from the previous month. On-chain earnings-to-crypto (赚币) month-end total TVL was about $119 million. Gate Layer on-chain trading volume grew by more than 10% from the previous month, with cumulative trading volume exceeding 40 million transactions. CandyDrop launched 9 projects, and the airdrop rewards attracted participation from over 270,000 instances of users.
