Fujimori Higuchi Elected Peru's President on June 7, to Take Office July 28

According to Peru's National Election Board, Fujimori Higuchi, the candidate of the right-wing People's Force party, was elected president on July 3 following the second round of voting held on June 7. She will serve until 2031 and is scheduled to be sworn in on July 28. Luis Galarreta will serve as first vice president, and Miguel Torres as second vice president.
