Foreign Investors Record 26.21 Trillion Won Net Purchases on July 22, Highest in Two Months

According to Korea Exchange data, foreign investors recorded net purchases of 26.21 trillion Korean won on July 22, the highest inflow in two months. The buying pressure pushed KOSPI above the 7,000 level for the first time in four trading days and triggered the 20th circuit breaker halt of the year. However, afternoon profit-taking by institutional and retail investors erased most gains, with the index closing up 0.74% at 6,797.70 points.
