According to TechCrunch, AI voice startup Fish Audio announced the completion of a $50 million seed funding round on July 28, led by Coreline Ventures and Capital Today.
Founded by Nvidia researcher Shijia Liao, Fish Audio developed an open-source voice generation model trained on a single GPU. Its Fish Speech project has garnered over 31,000 stars on GitHub and is widely used by independent developers, game designers, and content creators. The company released 5 models over the past year, including 4 voice generation models and 1 speech-to-text model. As of now, the open-source and hosted versions have attracted over 8 million users with an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of $21 million.
