FDA Withdraws Positive Cyclospora Test Result for Taylor Farms Lettuce

According to the FDA, the agency withdrew on July 19 the positive test result linking Taylor Farms lettuce to a Cyclospora outbreak. The agency had reported the positive detection in a sample outside the current recall scope on July 18, suggesting the recall could expand. Upon re-examination, the FDA determined the result was a false positive. The withdrawal does not change the current recall scope but may prevent further expansion.
